Slimming World Classes in Poole Dorset
SLIMMING AT SALTERNS HOTEL Valerie Ingham became a Slimming World Consultant holding weekly classes for members at the Canford Cliffs Village Hall in September 2004, after losing 3½ stones in weight herself during the previous 6 months.
Extremely nervous but absolutely convinced by her own experience of the Slimming World ‘eating plan’, Valerie started off with her New Group of Members (just 7 in total) on Monday evening September 20th that’s nearly 8 years ago.
It’s fair to say that since that time she’s never looked back and exceeded all expectations. Over the intervening 390 weeks, Valerie has looked after countless Members and helped them to lose 29,077 lbs (2077 stones). Regrettably, parking restrictions in the area on Monday evenings have meant that Valerie has been on the lookout for another venue for some time.
What a relief! The Canford Cliffs Members have now moved just a short distance down the road to the Salterns Hotel at the Salterns Marina in Lilliput and are meeting there regularly as from Monday 16th April. Meetings are held every Monday throughout the year in the Brownsea Suite and Members can look forward to:
· Easy parking,
· A very comfortable environment,
· A view out to the Blue Lagoon and Poole harbour
· A very caring and successful Slimming Consultant

Asahi British Beach Polo Championships 2012 - Sandbanks Poole
Sandbanks, Poole - Britain’s premier beach location – is poised to host the 5th British Beach Polo Championships on 6/7th July 2012. A unique festival of sport and music - the south coast’s sporting and social summer spectacle. This year for the first time the four nations England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales come head to head to battle it out for the Championship title.
The Polo, played in an enclosed arena, has been referred to as ‘Ice Hockey on Horse Back’. Spectators are close to the action – they can fully appreciate the horsemanship, speed and gladiatorial nature of the sport. The thrill and excitement of horses galloping on the sand with the English Channel as a backdrop, whilst sipping champagne amongst glamorous company, is a vision to remember – an intoxicating mix.
The intrigue of Beach Polo is complimented by other activities at the event such as the Oakley International Beach Volleyball, a polo pony V 4 x 4 charity race and a fashion show – there is also an opportunity for guests to ‘Have a Go’ at polo. In the evenings, when the sun sets over the Jurassic coast, the renowned Polo Beach Parties allow Polo Players, Celebrities and Supporters to dance, relax and socialise until the small hours of the morning. Swing the Polo on Friday night, with a floodlit polo exhibition, will bring an eclectic mix of Swing and Jazz to the beach. Whilst on Saturday night there will be an electric club party to remember.

The Polo, played in an enclosed arena, has been referred to as ‘Ice Hockey on Horse Back’. Spectators are close to the action – they can fully appreciate the horsemanship, speed and gladiatorial nature of the sport. The thrill and excitement of horses galloping on the sand with the English Channel as a backdrop, whilst sipping champagne amongst glamorous company, is a vision to remember – an intoxicating mix.
The intrigue of Beach Polo is complimented by other activities at the event such as the Oakley International Beach Volleyball, a polo pony V 4 x 4 charity race and a fashion show – there is also an opportunity for guests to ‘Have a Go’ at polo.
